There have been a couple of changes at 4PeopleMedia over the holiday period that we would like to share with you.

Firstly, we are pleased to announce Laura James as our new Production Manager.
Laura comes to 4PeopleMedia with a Honours degree in Media and extensive knowledge of both community radio and podcasting having worked with both SYN and RRR previously.
With Laura on board we are looking forward to not only providing exceptional quality audio production on radio ads in 2012 but also offering podcasting as a marketing tool for business’ through our production department and I will have further information on this development soon.

In the meantime, we are launching our new media kit specific to Indigenous audiences across Australia through our partnership with the National Indigenous Radio Service (NIRS). There are a number of sponsorship opportunities across the 183 stations in this network, reaching over 750,000 listeners each week nationally. If you are interested in or would like to reach to this audience, please use the contact form below to request a copy of the new media kit.

Lyndelle and Claire attended the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia’s annual conference on the Gold Coast in November. Besides getting an opportunity to get out of cold Melbourne, it was a great chance for us to catch up with many of the 124 stations we represent across the country and hear about the great programming they’re broadcasting each week. There was quite a lot of discussion about broadcasting in digital formats. With almost all stations streaming online now, many stations are offering ‘Listen Live’ services, meaning you can listen to any program at any time and several of the metropolitan stations are now simulcasting on digital radio.

We spent some time with representatives from McNair Ingenuity Research and together with the CBAA we look forward to offering more accurate listener figures than ever before in 2012 as well as a fantastic planning tool to give you reach and frequency figures for campaigns across any number of stations. More to come on these developments later in the year!

And finally - a new addition to our family of stations is the Victorian Network of Vision Australia Radio. This Network of 7 stations - 1 in Metro Melbourne and 6 in Regional Victoria reach an estimated 200,000 listeners each week. Although the network is built around the print handicapped community, actually the majority of listeners (approx 83%) are 'eyes busy' - people like truck drivers, cabbies, couriers - basically busy people who don't have time to read. 4PM now can offer this bank of stations as a collective for your campaigns so if you are interested in finding out more about where and who this network reaches across Victoria, simply give Lyndelle a call.

Back on Board... in 2012

After a lovely holiday break the 4PeopleMedia team are back in the office ready to roll straight into the new year.

Sadly we’ve said goodbye to our Production Manager, Jason Gipps over the break. He can now be found working full time at Joy FM where he has been part-time employed for several years.

So we’re on the hunt for a new Production Manager. Interviews are taking place this week so we hope to announce our new team member very soon. With a number of great applications coming through we’re excited about starting the year with some fresh ears in our studio.

We’re also pleased to see a number of ongoing clients rolling through to the new year with us. Many of our clients have recognised the ‘bulk buy’ benefits of purchasing ongoing campaigns over a 12 month period and we’re happy to continue servicing them through 2012. Some of those clients include the Holmesglen Institute, City of Melbourne and the Port of Melbourne Corporation.

In other news that you can hear on air at the moment, the International Milinery Forum is on in Wagga this weekend, presented by Austar. Keep an ear on BLU FM, 2SER, Edge FM and Vox FM for details and interviews about the event.

The Morning of the Earth tour is on next week with screenings in both Melbourne and Sydney, and Songs for Nobodies tickets go on sale for their Sydney shows next week too.
The Summer Bridal Ideas Expo is on again in Adelaide at the end of the month. Tune into Radio Adelaide and Life FM in Adelaide for all the details.

We’re looking forward to a big 2012. Feel free to join us on Facebook or Twitter through the links below to keep in touch.
